Business on Toast is a business networking organisation working solely within the construction industry, based in London and launched on 8th August 2009.
Business on Toast is an independent organisation limited by guarantee operating from offices in central London, where they work to create opportunities for members on the Transport for London scheme and London 2012. These opportunities are mirrored with local authorities and universities across the UK and with local agencies such as Business Link.
We believe that we are the only business networking organisation to seek out and create opportunities for its members in this way.
In October 2009 the then parent company of Business on Toast developed a mentoring scheme with the University of Derby, which enabled local businesses to help bridge the gap between those studying for business and those actively engaged in it. This provided high-quality real-time mentors for the University, aiding the development of their students, and creating employment and growth opportunities for both mentors and their proteges.
In January 2010 they developed the Business Academy, to address some of the fundamental problems facing commercial organisations today. A wide range of business-related topics - most eligible for grant funding are available - and where possible Business on Toast only source providers from within the Business on Toast organisation.
In July 2011 Business on Toast became independent and broke away from it's parent company, taking control of the initiatives developed since launch in 2009. We are committed to offering good value for money, with a wide range of benefits and two cost-effective options for those who choose to become members.
